Why Firefighters Do Not Want Cell Phone Antennas on their Fire Stations

There are ways to mitigate the effects of the cell phone/ WiFi radiation:

1. Talk on a speakerphone

2. Use an airtube headset

3. Turn your phone off in the car; it is always seeking an antenna, and therefore is emitting more radiation. Be aware of this especially when there are children in the car.

4. Keep your phone charged. It has to work harder when it’s 2 bars or under, which means it is emitting more radiation.

5. Avoid wearing the cell phone “on” your body. Studies have shown cell phones in a pant pocket reduce the sperm count of males.

6. Don’t operate a cell phone in an elevator or subway. If the electromagnetic radiation is strong enough to cut through the infrastructure of a building to activate your phone, think about what it is doing to your skin and delicate organs?

7. Use a corded landline whenever possible, to give your body a break from the EMF assault.

8. Only switch your WLAN on when you need it. With laptops, in particular, it is a good idea to switch the WLAN off as otherwise the device will repeatedly try to connect to a network, leading to unnecessary radiation and a shorter battery life.

9. Don’t hold your laptop close to your body while it is connected to a WLAN.

10. Wherever possible, install the access point one yard away from places where you work, sit or rest for long periods of time.
